Meaning: To be just about to do something.
Example: Mikko was on the point of leaving when Cheska arrived.

Meaning: Used to convey surprise, or to emphasize a conviction.
Example: By, Jove! What have you done?

Eat your words
Meaning: To admit humbly that you were wrong or mistaken.
Example: Be careful with what you say or you might eat your words.

Foot it
Meaning: To walk rather than ride in a vehicle.
Example: we had to foot it all the way to school.

For keeps
Meaning: Permanently or forever.
Example: Vincent promises Nikki his love is for keeps.

Go places
Meaning: To be successful.
Example: his teachers believe Jan Micheal

Go over with a bang
Meaning: To be very successful.
Example: The new star search went over with a bang. There was over a thousand questors who auditioned.

Hit the nail on the head
Meaning: to be absolutely correct or accurate.
Example: The quiz show contestant hit the nail on the head.

Hold all the aces
Meaning: to have all the advantages
Examples: Jovy will surely be the victor. She holds all the aces in her hand.

Keep the wolf from the door
Meaning: to be enough to prevent hunger or starvation.
Example: The old man’s saving will keep the wolf from the door.

Meaning: Brief moment or instant.
Example: Tatti will keep her promised to be here in a flash.

Make a big deal our of something
Meaning: To make a fuss about something unimportant.
Example: Camilla’s friend are fed up with her because she always make a big deal out of something.
